Indian Groovy Metalcore Group AARLON Go Nuts In "Vidroh" Music Video

Aarlon

Aarlon is metalcore group based in New Delhi, India consisting of vocalist Pritam Goswami Adhikary, guitarist/lyricist Piyush Rana, guitarist Ritwik Shivam, bassist Ankit Ganguly, and drummer Pranky Borah. Although the band's lyrics are all in hindi, the vocal melodies carry extremely strong and contain just the right amount of variety from metalcore screams, passion-fueled cleans, and hellish growls.

The quintet has previously put out three singles ("Tu Meri Maut," "Haiwan," "Panchhi") and have just released their latest titled "Vidroh," which roughly translates to "Uprising." While the former singles provoked similarities to the dreamy deathcore qualities of Fallujah, metalcore catchiness alike Architects, and heaviness of Despised Icon, this new track leans closer to a Lamb of God meets Tesseract fusion.

The band stated that the single is about "breaking the shackles of middle-class responsibilities and pursuing what one desires. It speaks of every artist's struggle in India who is following an alternative path. Metal musicians face a hard time coping with resources, success, and recognition. Moreover, if you are into metal music you're treated like an outcast in your neighborhood. There is no moral or emotional support from friends or family. We have to keep patting up each other's shoulders from time to time in order to continue pursuing music." Check out the music video for "Vidroh" below.
