GREYHAVEN's New Song "Blemish" Is A Little Mathy And A Lot Of Mosh

There is a lot going on in here.

There is a lot going on in here.

For being just over three minutes, Greyhaven has packed quite a lot into their new song "Blemish." The song takes the chaotic elements of The Dillinger Escape Plan, the on-the-verge-of-losing-it melodies of Converge, and tosses in a little catchiness for a song that's almost impossible to get bored with throughout its runtime. Though coming from an album that the band themselves sums up as "make the accident look like it was on purpose," that makes sense.

Here's how vocalist Brent Mills described the track.

"This is one of my favorite songs we have. We've tried this one out live a hand full of times over the last year and it tends to bring the energy in the room up a bit. This song has a few different lyrical themes mixed into so it's hard to pin down exactly what I wanted to get out of it but it nails down how I was feeling the moment I wrote the lyrics. Thinking of the state of our world and how it effects the people in my life. Anxiety is an itch."

Greyhaven is releasing their new album Empty Black on March 16 and you can pre-order that here.
