Groove metal pioneers Exhorder will release their first new album in 27 years titled Mourn The Southern Skies on September 20, and they sound just as good as they did back in the 90s. Exhorder is now streaming the new track "Hallowed Sound", which encompasses everything from their usual groove to borderline-death metal bits strewn about.
Mourn The Southern Skies was produced by Duane Simoneaux (Crowbar, Down), mixed by mixed by Jens Bogren (Amon Amarth, Opeth, Sepultura), and mastered by Tony Lindgren (Amorphis, Enslaved, Swallow The Sun) and Bogren.
Exhorder is original guitarist LaBella and original vocalist Kyle Thomas alongside bassist Jason Viebrooks (War Curse, Year of the Tyrant), drummer Sasha Horn (ex-Novembers Doom), and guitarist Marzi Montazeri (ex-Philip H. Anselmo & the Illegals, ex-Superjoint Ritual).
