After five albums and a few handfuls of split and EPs over the course of the last 15 years, Coliseum has officially called it quits. The band states it made the decision to call it quits in late 2015, but chose not to announce anything until now due to the personal nature of the disbanding.
In the statement, frontman Ryan Patterson says he's launches a new band called Fotocrime, which you can check out below.
Near the end of 2015, Coliseum quietly decided to end our twelve year run and the band went on indefinite hiatus. Because it felt so personal, we chose to not publicly announce it at the time. Soon after, I began work on my next musical endeavor: Fotocrime. After a year of hard work out of the public eye, I’m happy to share the first Fotocrime song, launch preorders for our debut 7”, and announce our first shows supporting long time friends Russian Circles. Your support of Coliseum throughout the years was so greatly appreciated and I look forward to many new adventures with Fotocrime. All my love. – R.
PS. Please be sure to support Kayhan and Carter in their current bands Yautja and Null, respectively.
