CATTLE DECAPITATION Reveal “An Exposition of Insides,” To Release New Rarities Collection
More Cattle Decapitation is coming very soon! Well, sort of. The band will release a new rarities collection, brilliantly titled Medium Rarities, on November 23rd.
It will feature 23 tracks that were "never before heard songs, hard to find/out of print tracks, live material, cover tunes and ultra rare pre-Human Jerky tracks never before heard by fans of the band.”
Frontman Travis Ryan said he'd been working on the project for 10 years. "I started this project 10 years ago and it got shelved because nobody could find the missing bonus track from To Serve Man. Well, they recently found it along with the lyrics and that spurred us into action and finally made this release happen! So glad this amazing artwork by Wes Benscoter will finally see the light of day! Crazy I've been sitting on this piece for a decade…"
Here's the lead single, “An Exposition of Insides,” which is just awesome…
For collectors, there is a lot of cool vinyl and merch to pick up:
The vinyl colors are based on how people like their meat prepared – Rare, Medium Rare and Well Done. For the big collector's bundle we have a special variant – the Medium Rare Bone-In Human Shank variant. Only available in this big bundle. We also finally jumped on the enamel pin game with a vengeance by making the key players on the covers of all our albums into their own enamel pin! Buy your favorite one individually or get the entire set in the bundle.
Got a couple special T-Shirts for this as well… Parodies of the USDA Prime shield and the USDA Organic emblems. The back of the organic one is taken from one of their stamps, lol.
Probably my favorite part about all of this is the cassette. Used Metal Blade's old vintage axe logo and made it look like the old tapes from the 70s and 80s with the black borders and generic fonts around the cover. The tape is white with black writing of course.
