Black Royal will release their crushing new album Firebride on February 14. We're streaming the whole thing today, because you shouldn't have to wait that long to hear death metal this good!

Here's what vocalist Riku had to say about the record.

“After the first album we toured so much that we had to keep postponing writing for our new album. Ideas were piling up so when it was actually time to write that ‘difficult second record’ it only took us a couple of months to flesh out the songs for it. Most of the writing was done live in our rehearsal space as we were fresh from a tour and the band had a good live energy going in. Unfortunately, the writing and recording of the album was overshadowed by the loss of a dear friend of ours who worked with us regularly and helped us a lot on the road. That definitely added a sombre touch in the overall sound. The active touring of nearly hundred gigs and across ten different countries can be heard in the groove of the album.”
