There's something to say for The Sign Records and their tendency to pick up some of the best Scandinavian hard rock today. One of the most recent additions to their roster is Askvader. Their eponymous new record is simply a blast to listen too. Tracks like 'God's Grace' are a boatload of fun and impossible not to lose yourself in. There is a very seventies inspired sense of boogie that serves to make this a bouncy and exciting listen.
The band jump from peak to peak here. It's hard not to go back and listen time and time again. If you want hard hitting rock you'd be well served by what Askvader have on offer. This debut is the band at their finest. It's concise, to the point and and honor to premier it.
