After literally years of speculation, AC/DC has announced their new album Power Up and is streaming their new single "Shot In The Dark". It's exactly what you would expect from AC/DC, and the band couldn't possibly sound better doing it!
"It's got that great AC/DC vibe about it, great swagger, and a good AC/DC rock and roll chant," said guitarist Angus Young in an interview with Rolling Stone. "The title is a little bit cheeky because we all like a little nip [of alcohol] in the night or a few shots in the dark. I was very glad when the record company heard it [that] they felt it was a very strong song and should be the first one that people hear."
The new AC/DC album features vocalist Brian Johnson drummer Phil Rudd, bassist Cliff Williams, and guitarists Angus Young and Stevie Young. Of course, Stevie Young has been filling in for his uncle Malcolm Young since 2014, and eventually joined the band full-time after Malcolm's death in 2017. While Malcolm's riff ideas are featured on the record, no recordings of Malcolm are actually on there.
Power Up is out November 13. Pre-orders are available here.
