Known for his work in post-metal acts A Light Within and Sisters Of…, Kyle Brandt is taking his turn at the solo project path. Under the pseudonym, Molitoth, Brandt's post-metal foundations expand to include a focus on intimate ambiance and dark prog in this new material. Molitoth's debut LP titled The Tribunal will officially release on June 26th, yet we're excited to be exclusively premiering the full album stream.
When consuming the eleven tracks within the record, proggy influences of Katatonia, A Perfect Circle, or Tesseract emerge.
Speaking of Tesseract, Brandt was vocal coached by Daniel Tompkins and the album was mastered by Acle Kahney. Although the tracks exude the plodding progressive elements of the aforementioned acts, there's a unique quality hiding in the details. From the immersive, meditative-like atmospheres leading to a catharsis-driven listening experience, one would assume this album may suffer from low energy, however there is a surprising abundance of melody and dynamics that surface.
