Bill & Ted 3 Release Date Pushed Back

It's probably for the best.

bill and ted 3 2020

We are so excited for the long-aniticpated three-quel in the Bill & Ted series, which is called Bill & Ted: Face the Music. The movie was originally scheduled to be released on August 21st, but then once the movie business shut down (and then began to reopen) it got pushed up to August 12th. Now it's been pushed back again.

Variety reports that William Stanley Preston, Esq and Theodore "Ted" Logan, III will now be hitting movie theaters and digital releases on August 28th. The reason for the movie? They didn't want to compete with Christopher Nolan's big blockbuster, Tenent.

Tenent was originally set to open on July 17th. With movie theaters slow to reopen, the release was pushed back to July 31st and then finally to August 12th. It looks like that will be the final release date for the movie, and assuming fans are comfortable enough to go back to theaters, the expectation is that movie will blow all others out of the water.

So perhaps its for the best that we wait a little longer for Bill & Ted 3.

Speaking of Bill & Ted, this weekend we released a Countdown episode with 15 facts you might not know about the film, one of which even stumped director Ed Solomon. Watch it below.
