Iron Maiden's Ed Force One 747-400 will be flying its way onto your home shelves sometime in 2016, should you be into Iron Maiden or model planes. Revell has partnered with Global Merchandising Services, both of which sound very un-metal, to commemorate the band's world tour with a 1:144 scale model of the plane. Which is still pretty cool and unique!
“As soon as we knew that Bruce would be piloting the plane for Iron Maiden’s world tour, we knew that we had to do something special to celebrate the occasion, and Revell are an obvious partner for this fantastic collaboration,” said Global Merchandising Services’ licensing manager, Jens Drinkwater.
“Their model kits have been a synonym for plastic modelling for over 60 years, and this detailed model of Ed Force One will appeal to both traditional builders and hobbyists as well as the dedicated Iron Maiden fanbase.”
There currently isn't a release date for the model, but according to Licensing.biz, it's due out sometime in 2016.
