Killswitch Engage are in a pretty good place right now. They have over a year of touring with returning frontman Jesse Leach under their belt which also resulted in a successful comeback album. So what's next for the band?
Another album, of course!
Speaking with Brazil’s Wikimetal, Leach revealed the band plans to hit the writing room as soon as they complete their current touring commitments:
“After this South American run, we’re gonna take some time off and start demoing and start writing. We’re actually really looking forward to getting some new material out. So, hopefully, by the end of this year, we’ll have some material ready to go. We’ll see what happens, but we’re definitely stoked on it.”
Leach also commented on the reaction from fans for his return:
“It’s been mind-blowing. It’s incredible … It’s been crazy too cause my life has changed. I’ve seen the world and been able to play in front of thousands of people and I get to do what I love and make a living doing it so I feel very blessed.”
The band still have a few shows in October, with their final show in upstate NY on November 1st. So the band will be spending the holiday season working on some new tunes. Who knows, by this time next year we might be talking about a new Killswitch Engage album.
