After the death of legendary punk and metal icon David Brockie and the mysterious disappearance of Gwar frontman Oderus Urungus, the band has carried in a whole new way. When we first heard of the band playing Riot Fest in Chicago this year, we were a little confused- who the hell would be fronting the band? So far we've had former Gwar bassist and now frontman Blothar, played by Mike Bishop, step up to the plate and that's been pretty damn awesome. Except a co-frontman, no… frontwoman, has emerged from the depths of Slave Pit at Riot Fest! Meet Vulvatron, the first female member of the band since the departure of Slymenstra Hymen in 2000!
Vulvatron is played by fashion designer Kim Dylla, who made her own costume for the band and totally shoots blood from her nipples. Seriously, who in their right mind is going to say no to chest-mounted blood cannons? It'll be really, really awesome to see what Dylla adds to the band, as it's a dynamic the group has hardly explored in the band. Especially with two people fronting the band now! Here's hoping we'll get a new record out of the group next year, or even just an EP, to see where this has all led.
