The Foo Fighters played Richmond, VA last night and in between songs, the coolest motherfucker in music, Dave Grohl (proof of coolness available here, here and here) took some time to pay tribute to local legend, the late great Dave Brockie, and the legendary Gwar.
The speech was captured by a member of Gwar who shared the below video on the band's Facebook page. In the video, Grohl talks about his first experience at a Gwar show, and laughs about some hilariously offensive comments Oderus Urungus once made about Grohl.
I have to hand it to Grohl for having such a great sense of humor about the joke, and even he has to admit, that was an incredibly funny joke.
Brockie, the world is a less funny place without you. RIP!
