ICE T'S Grandson to Be Charged with Involuntary Manslaughter

Earlier today, we published our review of the metal project from Ice T, Body Count and their return album, Manslaughter. The album's title track deals with the "pussy-fication" on man, according to Ice himself and there are multiple references to gun violence throughout.

In a strange twist of irony, Ice T's grandson, 19-year-old Elyjah Marrow, was arrested today on charges of involuntary manslaughter after accidentally shooting and killing his roommate, Daryus Johnson, who was also 19. TMZ reports that Marrow will also be charged with possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and reckless conduct.

I am no detective but I'm assuming what happened is Elyjah and Daryus got high and started playing around with guns and it ended up fatal. I'm sure this is a very painful time for both families.

Ice T has said his music is to be considered 'grindhouse' and not to be taken as a serious threat at all, but rather as entertainment. It will be hard to think about that now that his grandson is being charged with that crime.
