Cosmic raging death metal masters Blood Incantation have released "The Stargate," the first half of their new album Absolute Elsewhere (out next week) and an accompanying short film.
Absolute Elsewhere is broken up into two songs, which are then broken down further. "The Stargate," a 20-minute epic, has three "tablets," which are all featured in the short film. Produced by Mindy Kelly, "The Stargate" video description includes the following:
"The Stargate presents the saga of a mysterious artifact and its victims in a hallucinatory synthesis of science fiction and folk horror, where mind bending imagery and unsettling atmospheres converge in a surreal tale of primeval blood magic, interdimensional travel and grotesque otherworldly technology beginning in the Dark Ages and journeying into voids of deep space."
The video is every bit as mind-boggling as Blood Incantation's music is, so set aside 20 minutes and blast off. "The Stargate" is now available on streaming as well.
