Finnish purveyors of nightmarish black metal Oranssi Pazuzu is now streaming their horrific new single "Valotus" from their upcoming album Muuntautuja. The single comes alongside a music video directed, built, and shot by Craig Murray. It's disturbing. Anyway, once you're done puking, pre-order Muuntautuja here.
"Our experimentation with samplers and electronics made us step towards the weird concept of making nightmarish Rave music," said Oranssi Pazuzu guitarist Ikon of the new album. "We tried to find common ground between danceable rhythms and oppressive waves of noise and distortion."
Oranssi Pazuzu vocalist and guitarist Jun-His added, perhaps all too accurately: "For us, this album is like a sculpture made of black electric ooze."
Where can I see Oranssi Pazuzu live?
Oranssi Pazuzu will be out on the road across Europe this November and December with SĂłlstafir, as well as HamferĂ° and Helga depending on which leg of the tour you're attending.
