Oh man, the new Misery Index record The Killing Gods sounds so sick based off what little I know right now. For starters it was recorded at both Visceral Sound Studios with Scott Hull of Pig Destroyer and Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Wright Way Recording with Steve Wright, who has worked with bands like Dying Fetus and Soilwork among others. Then there's the fact that frontman Jason Netherton seems way stoked on it.
"After an extended writing and recording process we have finally completed The Killing Gods. It is the longest, most diverse and most complete album we have ever created, and it represents the blood, sweat and beers of four dudes trying to make the best songs they can. We think we have succeeded and we hope you do as well. Look for this metal beast to drop in May!"
Hell yes! I cannot wait to have my face ground clean off by this record! We'll all be killing some gods (or the gods will be killing us?) come May 27! Don't forget to catch the band May 21 at Maryland Deathfest either, where I'm sure they'll be jamming some new stuff.
