Anthrax's frontman Joey Belladonna is set to take center stage as he sings the U.S. national anthem at the Empower Field at Mile High Stadium in Denver, Colorado. His performance will take place on Sunday, October 29, just before the Denver Broncos go head-to-head with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Joey himself enthusiastically shared the exciting news on his social media platform, X, stating, "I will be singing the national anthem at the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos game in Denver this Sunday. Watch for me on the field, and maybe Taylor Swift will be there!"

It's no secret that the pop sensation has been spotted at various Kansas City Chiefs games. Rumor has it that she might be dating Travis Kelce, the team's tight end.

Belladonna, known for delivering "The Star-Spangled Banner" at sporting events, discussed his experiences and the unique challenges of singing in front of vast crowds, in an interview with Panini Unwrapped several years ago. He expressed his deep appreciation for singing the national anthem: "I just love doing the anthem. People get off on it. And I really respect the game and the anthem itself, so it's a pleasure to be able to be asked to be a part of that."

When asked to compare singing the anthem at a stadium to performing for massive heavy metal audiences, Joey shed light on the nerve-wracking nature of the former: "The anthem is even more tense because you're all by yourself, everything goes quiet, and there's really no key to sing in. I just kind of go out there and just wing it, but I like to keep it traditional. But it is a very unnerving… Once it's ten minutes before they give you the okay, it's, like, 'Woah!' I've gotten nervous, but once you get going, you just focus on doing it."
