A few weeks back, High on Fire announced they would be releasing a double live album called Spitting Fire. Today, the band have been kind enough to give us quite the taste of the live material on the discs.
Boom! Volume Two can be streamed right here! Thanks to the nice folks at Pitchfork, you can now aurally experience what it's like to be at a High on Fire show.
You should know damn well to expect the second you hit play; a perfect performance with a whole lot of energy and Matt Pike without a shirt, since that's how he do and whatnot. I've had both the albums on back-to-back pretty regularly recently, as they're a great performance with a whole lot of crushing force behind them.
It helps that Kurt Ballou did the production on it too, giving it the extra distorted brutality one would expect… not that High on Fire didn't bring that already. I guess the only question to ask yourself is this: do you value your currently skeletal structure?
High on Fire's Spitting Fire Vol 1 & 2 is out next Tuesday, June 18th. Order it here.
