Skeletonwitch have entered the studio with Kurt Ballou (Converge, Kvelertak, Black Breath) to lay down the jams once more.
Skeletonwitch are currently in Massachusetts recording their followup to their 2011 thrash-fest Forever Abomination, and to make matters even heavier, their with the thrash master Kurt Ballou. Anyone else catching a whiff of insanely heavy? There's almost no way this record can be bad- the band have been keeping it up with the good jams for pretty much their whole (brief) discography, so I have some serious faith in them. If you're not sold on the potential of this album, then here's a picture of drummer Dustin Boltjes with a gigantic cymbal, probably for bringing the extra metal to this record. Bigger means heavier- that's how stuff works. No? What about guitarist Nate Garnette pick scraping his way all the way down to hell? That's pretty metal too, obviously. Keep an eye out for more announcements from the band about the record, which has been announced by Prosthetic to be out in the fall sometime.
If you missed it a few weeks ago, the band performed a new song at SXSW and we have posted a bootleg video of it.
