The first round of confirmed bands has come in for this summer's Ozzfest, the first to be completely free to all its fans. Headlining the main stage will be the namesake, of course, OZZY OSBOURNE, with direct support coming from LAMB OF GOD and Finnish horror-metal act LORDI. According to the official Ozzfest website, there is one slot left on the main stage to be announced.
The second stage will be headlined HATEBREED, with MONDO GENERATOR and a yet-to-be-named band in the 2 non-rotating slots under the headliners, and rotating on the 2nd stage will be NILE, ANKLA, CIRCUS DIABLO,
THE SHOWDOWN. There are 5 rotating slots still unnanounced.
If you are asking yourself "Who the hell are some of these second stage bands?" you're probobly not alone. But, you may be familiar with some of the members of these bands. ANKLA features ex-members of Ozzfest alumni PUYA, MONDO GENERATOR is the new project from Nick Oliveri, formerly of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, and CIRCUS DIABLO features Billy Morrison (ex-THE CULT), Billy Duffy (currently of THE CULT), Ricky Warwick (ex-THE ALMIGHTY), and Brett Scallions (ex-FUEL).
