COURTNEY LAPLANTE Names The Best Thing About Being In SPIRITBOX

Spiritbox is also getting inspired by heavier bands.

Rising metal stars Spiritbox made a huge impact with their 2021 album Eternal Blue, and then took fans by surprise with their 2022 EP Rotoscope. So what's the best part of being in a band that's surely becoming one of the most popular in the world of metal?

Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante tells Consequence that she's really loving the band's freedom to switch up their sound and make the music they want to make.

"I don't know. That's my favorite part about being in this band is. I just don't know. I love not thinking about that just seeing what happens when we just hang out and and make music. All I think about is [that] Michael makes a crazy song and then I just do my best to put vocals over it that I think would serve the song.

"I'm feeling a little inspired by some of the heavier bands that we've been watching, like when we've been doing festivals and stuff. I guess I'm just excited that I don't know, you know? I kind of hope I don't ever know. I hope that I never get comfortable and figure out what our band is going to sound like, but we'll see."

Spiritbox will be out on the road for their first-ever headlining tour this April with After The Burial and Intervals.
