PAMELA ANDERSON Has Her Own Netflix Movie Coming In Response To Pam & Tommy

"Not a victim but a survivor & alive to tell the real story."

Pamela Anderson

Pamela Anderson said upon the announcement of the Hulu series Pam & Tommy that she would not be watching the show and that she "had no involvement whatsoever" in its creation. Now Anderson is responding with her own Netflix movie, which is being described as an "intimate portrait embedded in the life of Pamela Anderson as she looks back at her professional and personal path and prepares for the next steps on her journey."

Anderson also created an Instagram account specifically to post the following message.

"My Life. A thousand imperfections. A million misperceptions. Wicked, wild, lost & nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you. Not a victim but a survivor & alive to tell the real story."

The Anderson Netflix movie is directed by Ryan White and co-produced by one of Anderson's sons, Brandon Thomas Lee.

For those unfamiliar, Pam & Tommy is about Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee and Anderson's famous sex tape.

"Set in the Wild West early days of the Internet, Pam & Tommy is based on the incredible true story of the Pamela Anderson (Lily James) and Tommy Lee (Sebastian Stan) sex tape. Stolen from the couple’s home by a disgruntled contractor (Seth Rogen), the video went from underground bootleg-VHS curiosity to full-blown global sensation when it hit the Web in 1997. A love story, crime caper and cautionary tale rolled into one, the eight-part original limited series explores the intersection of privacy, technology and celebrity, tracing the origins of our current Reality TV Era to a stolen tape seen by millions but meant to have an audience of just two."
