Ozzy Osbourne is working on the follow-up to his 2020 album Ordinary Man with producer Andrew Watt. Osbourne revealed in an interview with co-host Billy Morrison on the Ozzy Speaks show that the new album will include some familiar faces.

Among Ozzy's collaborators on the next release are Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi, longtime Osbourne collaborator Zakk Wylde (who said he wasn't originally involved in the new record), as well as some big guns from the rock world – Jeff Beck, and Eric Clapton.

Osbourne later added that the collaborators have been pretty amicable to work with, though Clapton did have one minor concern about lyrics.

"Eric Clapton, on this new record, one of the lyrics was about Jesus, and he wasn't sure about that. But it was all right in the end… [The solo he did] is very good."

In previous interview, Osbourne revealed the new album has 13 or 14 "really strong songs," one of which is about his relationship with Sharon Osbourne.

"[Andrew] goes in with a band," he said. "He gets some things going, and I'll go, 'Yeah, I like that,' 'No, I don't like that,' 'That's okay.' We've got, like, 13 [or] 14 really strong songs … There's one [song] called 'Patient Number Nine'. It's one we wrote about Sharon and I."

For those unaware, Ordinary Man featured producer Andrew Watt playing a variety of instruments, as well as Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. The album also featured guest spots from Tom Morello, Slash, Elton John, Charlie Puth, and Post Malone.
