Listen up all you Motörhead fans! A new 144-page graphic novel that promises to tell the story of Motörhead (with a strong focus on vocalist Lemmy Kilmister) is coming. Written by author David Calcano, the novel takes on the heavy task of detailing Motörhead's illustriously loud, 40-year career. This isn't Calcano's first Motörhead-centric publication.

In 2019 he released Motörhead: Where is Lemmy?, best described as an adult-oriented, heavy metal-friendly version of the British puzzle book series, Where's Waldo. Fittingly illustrated by former Heavy Metal magazine art director Mark Irwin, Motörhead: The Rise of the Loudest Band in the World heads way back in Lemmy's origin story, to the time in the then-teenage Kilmister's life when he thought he would live out his days teaching people how to ride horses in rural North Wales.

According to Lem, much like his actual profession, teaching people how to ride horses was a great way to meet women. Priorities, Lemmy sure had them.

Motörhead: The Rise of the Loudest Band in the World is due out on September 7th, 2021. In the meantime, take a peek at a few pages below!
