Ukraine's top death metal band, Hell:on, goes poetic on their second single "My Testament" from their upcoming album Scythian Stamm. "My Testament" is a musical interpretation of an 1845 Ukrainian poem, "Заповіт” (Zapovit)",by Taras Shevchenko. Full of ethnic folk flavor, the song begins somber and slow. As it continues, it becomes increasingly fiery, leading to an extended guitar solo that shifts the song into screaming intensity with cracking rhythms. Becoming jittery and violent, the song ends as the vocalist bellows, “I know nothing of god!”
Scythian Stamm will be out November 1st. You can pre-order HERE.
