Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose is having some fun with politics. Rose got into a bit of a Twitter feud with the US Treasury Secretary and also the GNR cover of "Live N' Let Die" was blasted through a mask factory as Trump walked through it without a mask. The series of events likely inspired GNR's newest piece of merchandise – a shirt that reads "Live N' Let Die With COVID 45."

Last week, Axl tweeted "It’s official! Whatever anyone may have previously thought of Steve Mnuchin he’s officially an asshole."

Mnuchin, the U.S. Treasury Secretary responded back "What have you done for the country lately?" Mnuchin initially ended the tweet with an emoji of the Liberian flag. He quickly deleted it and reposted with an American flag.

This led to Axl responding "My bad I didn’t get we’re hoping 2 emulate Liberia’s economic model," Axl began. joking about the typo. He continued "But on the real, unlike this admin, I’m not responsible for 70k+ deaths [and] unlike [you] I don’t hold a [federal government] position of responsibility [to] the American people [and] go on TV tellin them [to] travel the US during a pandemic."

Then there was this Trump footage:

With all that context, the band released "Live N' Let Die With COVID 45" shirts. The design mimmicks the classic Use Your Illusion typeface. The shirt is currently available for pre-order for $25. For the record, there seems to be no indication of any portion of the sales going to any COVID-19 related charities. Update: I spoke too soon, 100% of the proceeds go to MusiCares.
