There is no way to sugar coat this – this sucks! Static-X and Dope have put out a press release stating their shared warehouse space was robbed recently of over $200k in touring equipment.
Among the items stolen are “multiple LED video panels, 2 drum kits, 40+ cymbals, various high end audio/video gear, microphones, racks, branded backdrops.” The bands write:
“We want to encourage our community to keep a close eye on your property and on your facilities during this unprecedented time… We also ask for our fans to keep an eye out for the stolen items and maybe we can help the police find these people.”
They've also released the full list of the stolen gear, as well as photos. They ask if anybody has any information, they can reach out anonymously here.
We hope the band end up finding their gear. This probably isn't the time for this, but this certainly further helps suggest that Dope and Static-X share vocalists now.
