Dear friends of house,
we thought it might be a nice diversion in these difficult times to make a free Bandcamp compilation of some of our favourite past, present and future HoM tracks. We have done so partly to celebrate our five-year anniversary, but mainly to help distract us a bit from the distressing world events that unfold around us. We have made it completely free, with an option for you to donate something to the label if you so wish.
Amongst our 15 track sonic feast you will find some rather rare music such as 'Birth of Decay' by The Stargazers Assistant, a seventeen minute journey to the underworld that was until now only available on their DLP Remoteness of Light. Furthermore, we are sharing with you exclusively 'Niemandswasser IV' a dreamy, spaced out alternative version of the classic Current 93 song 'Niemandswasser' – discovered by The Bricoleur while baking the original Sleep Has His House master tapes for our Current 93 reissues – due to come soon on HoMAlpeh. New tracks from Ulver, Stian Westerhus, Use Knife and Teleplasmiste also feature.
'Everything Burns' is an older KKKMO track perhaps unheard to many outside of Norway – a band we hold dear to our hearts since they went on to become HOM 001 (our first ever release). We might just have to re-issue this whole album when days brighten, as it is a most excellent slab of sexy, dark rock.
