Scarlet Dress, a progressive metalcore project featuring Michael Rodriguez (vocals) and Sushant Vohra (instruments), is one of the few acts bridging the gap between India and the Western world. With the aforementioned members residing in Albuquerque, United States and Mumbai, India, respectively, one could draw comparisons to Skyharbor or The Minerva Conduct regarding both the international spread lineups as well as the forward-thinking musicalities.
The duo released their LP titled Endless earlier this year with material representative of the most modern evolution of metalcore, showcasing a tasteful mix of both clean vocals and growls, borderline djent chug riffs, stylistic experimentation, occasional breakdowns, and a high-quality production value. Additionally, the record features guest appearances by Jordan Chase (Shreddy Krueger), Josh Ford (The Luminary), and Alan Rigdon (ex-Erra).
We're excited to be exclusively premiering the music video for "Limerence," the third track on the LP. The song contains a fairly large dynamic range with heavy-hitting riffs and soundscapes interplaying with the aggressive and emotional vocal performance. If you will, imagine the early compositions of The Contortionist taking a more forward metalcore approach akin to Silent Planet or Invent Animate.
