Bassist John Jarvis' résumé includes bands such as Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Scour and now Kolten Wong City. The band's name is a mashup of sludge masters Kowloon Walled City and St. Louis Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong, and much like the baseball grind band Puig Destroyer proceeding it, Kolten Wong City shreds.
The project will release its debut EP Expressed Written Consent on March 28 and is streaming a new song called "Beat The Shift" below. Jarvis is the only member of Kolten Wong City and brings the heat just fine all by himself.
