Mask Of Judas will release their new album The Mesmerist on May 11 and we're pretty stoked to premiere the band's new song "The Conspirator." The song features some seriously heavy riffs, killer and soulful vocalist from Jo Challen, and a kickass neon music video laid upon a borderline violently white background.
Here's what guitarist Sam Bell, who you might know for his regular contributions to Guitar Interactive Magazine, Premier Guitar Magazine, and LickLibrary, had to say about the new song and video.
"'The Conspirator' is a great example of Mask of Judas's core sound. Heavy and melodic technical riffs coupled with aggressive vocals which effortlessly meet with melodic and emotive RnB flavours all wrapped up into a pop structure with buckets of groove. I wrote the original guitar parts when I was messing around with some bebop and funk inspired riffs on the 7 string. Reece re-enforces the melodic lines in the riffs with his tight guitar harmonies. Jo came up with some incredible vocal melodies over the top which I would have never imagined which transformed the song yet again. Jof and George further solidified the song by providing punchy catchy grooves. Oh…and I got to do a guitar solo! (of course!) I am proud of this song!”
