MACHINE HEAD Cancel Two More Shows As Robb Flynn's Throat Issues Persist

Bummer news for Machine Head fans.

Bummer news for Machine Head fans.

Machine Head just announced Des Moines, IA and Madison, WI shows are definitely off. The shows later this week in Minneapolis, Minneapolis and Chicago are questionable. Flynn was diagnosed with a lung infection a few days ago.

In a new message, Flynn reveals that the band assumed that he would be recovered by the four days off, but while practicing last night, he noted "nothing came out, particularly with the heavy vocals." Flynn noted he could sign the clean stuff a little bit, but when it comes to the heavy vocals… nothing. Flynn has been seeing throat specialists and trying to figure out what's wrong with him, and will see some more specialists today.

Flynn noted said he's been feeling throat issues for a week and a half. He's hoping to make Minneapolis, but if St. Paul and Chicago do get cancelled, Machine Head might be forced to cancel the entire tour, based on all the losses the band incurred from the cancellations. Bands typically get charged a penalty for cancelling the show, so this is likely a very expensive problem for Machine Head.

Metal Injection photographer Rodrigo Fredes was on hand at the New York City stop to capture some awesome photos. View the Machine Head photo gallery here.
