GONE IS GONE's (MASTODON, Etc.) Video For "Phantom Limb" Is Really Trippy

"'Phantom Limb' is a tale of seek and find," says Troy Sanders.

Gone Is Gone, the project featuring Mastodon's Troy Sanders on bass/vocals, Queens Of The Stone Age's Troy Van Leeuwen on guitar, and At The Drive-In drummer Tony Hajjar and guitarist/keyboardist Mike Zarin, has a history of odd videos. The one for "Phantom Limb" is no different, and Sanders doesn't really clear a ton up about its contents.

"'Phantom Limb' is a tale of seek and find. The song explores a cause of sensation and is inspired by one's ability to overcome what was once there."

"We shot this in one beautiful day amongst the ruins of Fort Dade on the isolated island of Egmont Key in the Gulf of Mexico. It was filmed with our good friends at Newmerica, which was once again a most pleasurable experience."
