Barney Greenway Working On Vocals For New NAPALM DEATH Record
It's been four years since Napalm Death's killer record Apex Predator – Easy Meat, which is long enough to wait for a new Napalm Death record. According to vocalist Barney Greenway in an interview with Metal Underground, he's working on vocals for the new album and most of the music is complete.
Greenway adds that they'll also be working with artist Frode Sylthe for the artwork to the new record. Sylthe previously worked Napalm Death on the cover of Apex Predator – Easy Meat.
"Most of the music is done. I've been working on vocals. I'm more or less halfway through. So there's a bit more to do. But, of course, then we've gotta look at things like artwork and all the various things. The thing with Napalm is after this many albums, it can't just be something you just throw out there.
"Like the artwork, for example, you've gotta use your imagination a little bit and try to express it in different ways. The last couple of album sleeves were fucking great, to be honest. I mean, I really liked them a lot. They really expressed what we wanted to say in different ways. So I'd definitely like to do that with the next one."
If you missed it, Napalm Death also put out a b-sides and rarities compilation last year called Coded Smears And More Uncommon Slurs.
