OZZY OSBOURNE says he will return for Ozzfest 2008.

Ozzy Osbourne is telling reporters that he will definitely be returning to the headlining spot for Ozzfest 2008, with or without Black Sabbath. To me personally, this is a big meh and before this year's fest I wondered does anybody even care about Ozzy Osbourne anymore?

When going to this past summer's edition of Ozzfest, it was pretty clear that they are plenty of people who are totally down to take a day off of work, spend all day getting drunk and eating BBQ in a parking lot, missing any relevant bands and then once the sun sets, head over to the main stage while shouting "OZZZZZZZYYYYYY!!! YEAAAA!!" the whole way. So as long as those people still exist, Ozzy will live on!

(Lets just hope he brings Tony Iommi and the rest of Sabbath with him, because if I hear Crazy Train one more time, I'm gonna shoot myself)

    There is much more to metal than a distorted guitar riff and a blues solo. Every memeber of sabbath is as responcable for creating metal as Iommi. If you want to get technical then its true that Ozzy is more responcable for metal than Iommi, due to him pioneering it NON STOP FOR ALMOST 40 YEARS NOW, unlike iommi who has geared into rock and hard rock… and someontimes pop. Brain May doesnt call him "the father of heavey metal" for no reason!!

Maybe it just wasn't Iommi himself, but Black Sabbath as a whole. Why not have Sabbathfests instead? Ozzy should not be regarded as the sole godfather of metal you know. It's very unfair to overlook the efforts of others who make this genre so great today.
