We've documented 67-year-old Lemmy Kilmister's recent health issues on the site, including not only having a defibrilator installed, but also suffering from a bout of hematoma resulting in practically all remaining tour dates from the summer onward to be cancelled.
Recently, Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell was interviewed, and he revealed two other Lemmy health issues we did not know about.
Speaking to WalesOnline, the Motorhead guitarist revealed Lemmy has diabetes and recently had a pacemaker installed:
"Lem had a pacemaker fitted earlier in the year because he’d been suffering from irregular heartbeats, and then his diabetes started playing him up. But his ticker's fine now and he’s made sufficient changes to his lifestyle and diet in order to combat the diabetes, it’s just that he felt he wasn’t 100 percent ready to go back on the road just yet."
Damn it, Lemmy, take care of yourself. I truly hope he is adjusting his diet and cutting down the drinking. Last time I saw Lemmy was at the Golden Gods, where he had a special lounge chair set up in the smoking section and his own whiskey service, with the whiskey being packed to the brim… that's not the type of lifestyle he can lead anymore.
