Linkin Park is inviting some of its closest friends for a special tribute show to Chester.

It's been about three months since Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington took his own life by hanging himself on July 20th, the birthday of his good friend Chris Cornell, who also tragically took his own life just a few weeks before. The death sent shockwaves throughout the entire music industry that could still be felt today.

Maybe have been asking what does the future hold for Linkin Park? Well, while the band is still figuring out their future, they have announced their next step, an official tribute show to Chester with some of their closest friends. The band just announced:

The band will be joined by a number of other artists, for an unforgettable night of music to honor the man that touched the lives of so many around the world.

Co-director Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda commented on the video:

“It has been incredibly emotional to work on this, and especially to watch it. I feel that by doing it, we not only faced some of our biggest fears, but it enabled us to use our talents to bring some light to people that need it. As we move forward to the Hollywood Bowl show and beyond, I think about the people that connect with the band, outside and inside our circle. This video is a gesture of good will to the people that want that connection.” – JOE HAHN

“One More Light was written with the intention of sending love to those who lost someone. We now find ourselves on the receiving end. In memorial events, art, videos, and images, fans all over the world have gravitated towards this song as their declaration of love and support for the band and the memory of our dear friend, Chester. We are so very grateful and can’t wait to see you again.” – MIKE SHINODA

Elsewhere, Chester's widow, Talinda, shared this video shot 36 hours before his death, showing a very happy Chester. Talinda is sharing the video in raising awareness for how quick depression can grab a person.
