Ex-In Flames guitarist Jesper Strömblad began promising a new band with ex-In Flames bassist Peter Iwers about one month before Iwers quit In Flames in 2016. Now that band, named Cyhra, has come to fruition! There isn't too much information about it floating around right now regarding the band's sound, but we know it consists of Strömblad, Iwers, ex-Amaranthe vocalist Joacim "Jake E." Lundberg, and drummer Alex Landerburg (Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, ex-Annihilator).
According to Landerburg's Facebook, Cyhra is in the studio as of today, has signed a record deal with Spinefarm/Universal, and will be releasing its debut album sometime this fall. Strömblad's Facebook adds that the debut will be 15 songs long. I guess we'll hear something maybe sometime around August or September?
