For most Americans, Memorial Day weekend is a weekend to spend with family, remembering the troops and possibly barbecuing. For death metal fans, it means an annual pilgrimage to Baltimore, Maryland for the annual Maryland Death Fest.

I haven't been to an MDF in quite a few years, but it's always fun to check in on social media and see what I missed.

The biggest news coming out of the festival comes courtesy of Chicken Man. Chicken Man has been going to the fest for at least a decade, I remember seeing him when I would go down and it looks like Chicken Man has found his Chicken Woman, as during Pig Destroyer's set, he got up on stage and proposed. How romantic!

I promised myself I wouldn’t take anymore phone selfies (since I’m tryna be all fancy and use a camera AND my phone is old😐), but I had to capture the moment before my first time going to Maryland Death Fest😍😍😍 It’s a death metal festival here in Baltimore and it was SO. FUCKIN. FUN🙌🏾 —— I wish stuff like this happened more often but I’m so grateful to have had this bad ass experience. Might even go back tonight if my neck can take it (from headbanging y’all, don’t be gross😂)! Watch my stories to see what went down last night at the awesome event🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾 #marylanddeathfest #rockerchick #funfunfun #thesoulfulveganista
