SOILWORK reveal the songs you chose for their upcoming headlining tour

Posted by Ben Apatoff on January 9th, 2009

SOILWORK recently conducted a poll to determine the setlist for their North American tour, and they've posted the results online. A message from the band reads in part, "We will perform these songs every night on our upcoming North American headlining tour…Of course we’ll play many more than just these 10 tracks…The rest of our setlist will also be largely based on your votes, including your top picks off Sworn To A Great Divide. Expect a couple of good surprises there!”

Soilwork's tour with DARKANE, WARBINGER and SWALLOW THE SUN kicks off January 30 in Rochester, NY. For those of you who want to be surprised, the setlist titles (and the tour dates) are conveniently listed after the jump. (more…)

DOWN announce tour with HANK III, EVIL ARMY and WEEDEATER

Posted by Ben Apatoff on January 6th, 2009

Too bad ROB ZOMBIE already lay claim to "Hellbilly Deluxe," because there may be no better way to describe the forthcoming tour uniting DOWN and HANK WILLIAMS III, with EVIL ARMY and WEEDEATER tagging along. This will be Down's first headlining tour since their opening stint for METALLICA, and Hank III will be promoting his latest CD, the appropriately named Damn Right, Rebel Proud.

LAMB OF GOD to tour with CHILDREN OF BODOM, AS I LAY DYING and GOD FORBID?

Posted by metalinjection on January 2nd, 2009

Randy Blythe seen with COBHC (Childen of Bodom Hate Crew) Tattoo

Talk about a killer way to kick off 2009! Metal Martyr (via Metal Hammer) is reporting that LAMB OF GOD's tour to promote their upcoming release Wrath, will feature a monster support lineup featuring CHILDREN OF BODOM, AS I LAY DYING and GOD FORBID. Talk about stacked!

LOG obviously had fun choosing this tour, as Randy has spoken about how he loves the COB dudes and even sports a COBHC tattoo (pictured above) and obviously the band goes way back with GOD FORBID as they rose to prominence together, touring many times in the past. The only band that sticks out like a sore thumb would be AS I LAY DYING but some would just say this is a "diverse" bill. And, if you want to pack large 3-5000 seaters, you need diversity! So far, no dates have been posted but as soon as anything further is announced about this tour, we will be sure to post it.

If you have yet to hear Lamb of God's new single, Contractor, check it out below…

EVERY TIME I DIE get upstaged by AXL ROSE

Posted by metalinjection on November 5th, 2008

EVERY TIME I DIE are some of the funniest mother fuckers I've ever had the pleasure of interviewing (click here to watch me get pwned). These guys may not be the most "br00tal" but they get it. They are headed out on a headlining run, and then Axl Rose had to go and rain on their parade…

Thanks a shitload Axl. You haven't put out a GNR record in 10 years and the month we decide to go out on a tour cleverly named NOVEMBER REIGN, you find it prime time for "Chinese Democracy" to hit shelves. You couldn't have waited another 3 weeks? We haven't done a single headlining tour on "The Big Dirty" so this was a really big deal for us. You should have seen Josh's face light up when he thought of the name. The guys in THE BRONX and STICK TO YOU GUNS were happier than pigs in shit to be a part of this epic journey across the east coast. But you just couldn't stand to see us happy.

Buckethead probably wouldn't have stolen our thunder. And when I met Matt Sorum at House of Guitars like 16 years ago, he came off as a real nice dude who would be glad to let us have November to ourselves. Well fuck it, we're doing it anyways. Starting November 1st, we're going to Quebec City! and then we're going to Milwaukee! And then we're going to JOPLIN AND NASHVILLE AND RICHMOND AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO FARMINGDALE TO TAKE BACK THE CRAZY DONKEY!!! BEYYYYYAAAWWW!!!!!

love every time i die.

Amazing! Full tour dates after the jump… (more…)

BLACKLISTED sets out on U.S. tour today

Posted by Ryan Buege on October 20th, 2008

The premiere Philadelphia hardcore group, BLACKLISTED, has announced plans to come to a city near you. The Deathwish Records' band will be hitting the road for the month in support of their recent incredible, Kurt Ballou-recorded album, Heavier Than Heaven Lonelier Than God. And while I've personally considered BLACKLISTED to be among the top of the hardcore heap since they emerged, they've also proven to be a band that consistently improves with each release. In my humble opinion, their most recent album being their finest to date. Even if they didn't already have a awesome enough back catalog to warrant checking out the show, seeing them perform the new songs will be the biggest reason to go out and raise your fist alongside them. The tour begins today, October 20th, in Baltimore and circles around the country before ending on November 19th in NYC. BLACKLISTED will play as direct support to headliners HAVE HEART, and CEREMONY and LET DOWN will open.

10/28 - Austin, TX @ Red 7
10/30 - Phoenix, AZ @ Modified Arts
10/31 - Anaheim, CA @ Chain Reaction
11/01 - Berkeley, CA @ Gilman
11/02 - Portland, OR @ Satyricon
11/03 - Tacoma, WA @ Viaduct
