Hey there Tech-Death fiends, I hope some of you all found the Crator and Hannes Grossman releases that were covered last week to be as exciting as I do. I'm glad to say that the early stream train continues today, this time with a stream from New York legends Malignancy! But before we get to that, here's the usual reminder that all prior editions of this series can be perused here.

At this point in their near 25 year long career, Yonkers, New York legends Malignancy need no lengthy introduction. What they’ve done speaks for itself, and in my estimation, few bands outside of Suffocation and Dying Fetus have done as much to shape the sound of technical minded brutal death metal as Malignancy have.

While it may seem like the band went dark after 2012’s well received full-length Eugenics, that’s hardly the full picture. Throughout their career the band has had a penchant for churning out short swift EPs in between their longer defining statements. The last of which, Epilogue, came in 2014, and consisted of a new single, “Intro / Epilogue” paired with a cover of “Hallucinations” from old school technical death metal legends Atrocity. Currently, the group is on the cusp of releasing Malignant Future. It’s a three song journey into the disgustingly brutal, spastically technical, and hyper-blasting focused realms of madness the group is known for cranking out with a near clinical consistency.

Clocking in at just over 10 minutes, Malignant Future packs a shitload of killer ideas into a compact and decimating framework. As usual, their music outclasses the majority of their peers, while offering a subtle twist on their tried-and-true sound. If you like what you hear, you can pre-order Malignant Future through IndieMerch here. Malignant Future will be available digitally on their Bandcamp this Friday, October 7th. Physical versions officially drop next Tuesday. Be sure to follow Malignancy on their Facebook Page here as well.
