GENGHIS TRON, TOMBS, WETNURSE and BLACK ANVIL "Show No Mercy" live footage posted

One Sunday every month, writer Brandon Stosuy throws together a show in Brooklyn, NY proving metal is still alive and well in New York City (it just seemingly relocated to Williamsburg aka the hipster part of town). A weeks back, on Easter Sunday to be exact, another one of these shows was thrown showing just how strong and diverse the NY metal scene is. There was no band that brought the show down. There were no trends. Just a bunch of people who enjoy playing and experiencing music. Oh, and a bunch of hot chicks too.

Starting off the night was a band that completely blew me away, BLACK ANVIL. Their blackend-thrash was just awesome. We have three live clips, but honestly they do not match the awesomeness the band brought live. Go see this band!
Black Anvil 1 | Black Anvil 2 | Black Anvil 3

Next up was one of New York's finest bands, WETNURSE, providing their jazz-infused metal. This was probably my favorite performance of the night. Two clips:
Wetnurse 1 | Wetnurse Live 2

TOMBS was up next and could be best described in three words: Wall of Noise. I'm not sure how well our mics captured the sound, since it was so dense but here are two clips anyway:
TOMBS 1 | TOMBS 2

To close out the show, electrogrinders GENGHIS TRON brought out the lights! I was glad the band played a few songs from their Cloak of Love EP, which still stands as my favorite Genghis release. Here are the three songs we captured of them:
Board Up The House | Things Don't Look Good | Ride the Steambolt.

If you are in the New York area, there is no reason for you not to attend these shows. There will be another killer Show No Mercy show this Sunday featuring this crazy lineup: A Life Once Lost, Buried Inside, Rosetta, Wetnurse , all for only 12 bucks. Visit the Show No Mercy page for more info.
