GIGANTOUR 2008 Lineup Confirmed
Posted by RobInjection on December 22nd, 2007Blabbermouth reports that they have confirmed the official lineup for next year's Gigantour will feature MEGADETH, IN FLAMES, CHILDREN OF BODOM, JOB FOR A COWBOY and HIGH ON FIRE. The tour is expected to start in mid-April and run until the end of may. Dave Mustaine recently said the decision was made to cut down the amount of bands from eight to five to give bands longer set times and keep things a little less chaotic. What do you guys think of this year's lineup?

FUCKING SWEET GUYS!!!
sure to try to get to it, bands are all great legends and fair call with the reduce in band numbers
get to see greater bands for greater mount of time
cant think of anything better
I can't believe JFAC got on gigantour?! They are a fucking band from phx az like 20 mins from me. it's so wierd to see a local band be on a fucking huge line up. HORNS UP FOR MEGADETH!!! MY FAVORITE fucking band of all time. I'll be there no matter what!
Apart from High on Fire and Megadeth its a bit of a pants tour to be honest. The best thing about In Flames these days is there fire work shows, COB's last album was terrible and Job For a Cockboy well the name says it all. If your going to put Death metal on the tour at least let it be proper Death metal like Vital Remains,Dying Fetus, Cannibal Corpse etc not this new day bollocks deathcore shite or what ever ya wanna call it.
Hopefully Evile will get confirmed for the Megadeth tour in the UK and Europe and that be a much more fitting support.
I cant believe it! I gotta see em!
Megadeth and CoB together, and if that wasnt enough aready IN FLAMES! I just heard High on Fire on XM radio with "Waste of Tiamat" and words are hardly existent to describe the greatness.
Job For a Cowboy is out of place among the amazement XD haha I'll use them to cool down from the pit!!!
GIGANTOUR!
Job For A Cowboy=best band on the tour
I think its a big step down from the gigantour i saw….Megadeth, Opeth, Arch Enemy, LAMB OF GOD, Overkill. yeah, deff a step down.
this is actually the shittiest line-up i have ever seen. last year was but this will be a wannabe fest. gigantour must die.
I saw Megadeth for the first time back in September with In this Moment and The Confession. So I'm excited to say that they'll be playing with one of my favorite bands, In Flames, as direct support.Bodom and High on fire are huge perks as well. While Job For A Cowboy are not quite my cup of tea, it's cool that Dave wants to take out younger upcoming acts, as he has in the past with the likes of Fear Factory. Those kids will probably take alot of shit on this tour, but they will also probably earn as many fans, so it's risky, but I believe the pay off will be worth it for them.Add the fact that they will be playing smaller venues and you have quite an impressive tour.I'm not positive if it tops the 06 lineup with Lamb of God, Opeth and Arch Enemy, but it certainly sounds up to par.
Job for a Cowboy will be real tight. and COB is cool too. I wish they would have had Born of Osiris on tour though, instead of In Flames/High on fire
What a lame ass tour, the only band worth a shit is Job for a Cowboy.
This line up isn't bad..
But like High on Fire blows, and Megadeth isn't really all that good.
Why not put like Lamb of God, or fucking Cannibal Corpse?
This is freaking great! I can't wait to see In Flames and Children of Bodom.
I want to see a tour with Behemoth/Dimmu/Kalmah/Cannibal Corpse/Nile/Vile
Can't wait to see them in Montreal!
Saw Megadeth last year on the Heaven & Hell tour and they were great - I've been a 'Deth fan for like 20 years. Saw Bodom in '06 with Amon Amarth and that was a kick-ass show. I know a few In Flames tracks and I like what I hear. I've only heard of the other bands so I can't give an opinion but I think it'll be a great show from start to finish.
JFAC sucks ass but i can't fuckin wait to see In Flames, it is one of my favorite fuckin bands and ive never seen em live before. i do agree that they should have replaced JFAC with someone that didnt suck like Killswitch or As I Lay Dying, or even Chimaira. Idont even fuckin know who High on Fire is BUT THAT PROBLY MEANS THAT I DONT REALY WANT TO. The rest i'm lookin 4 ward to i hope In Flames gets a pretty long set.
As I Lay Dying are worse that JFAC. KSE used to be good, but they've gone way too commercial these days. You could always check out High On Fire on youtube to see what they're like. And they ain't half bad from what I've heard from them so far.
