TWISTED SISTER - What's all the fuss about?

Posted by RobInjection on December 28th, 2006

If you happened to watch our Anti-Christmas Special (and if you haven't go watch it now!) you would see that we spend a good portion of it bashing Twisted Sister's new Christmas album "A Twisted Christmas." Well, if you have a morbid curiosity as to how terrible the album sounds, but don't have the bandwith to illegaly download it (not that we think thats okay) then you're in luck! The band released an equally crap-tastic video for their best/worst song on the album, O Come Ye Faithful…and see if you can recognize the background music. Thoughts?

Hey! This sounds just like that other song by Twisted Sister. What's it called again? Oh yeah, I remember, it's called "Every Other Song by Twisted Sister Ever." That was clever of them to put that in as the riff.

One thing about the video. I kept waiting for the librarian to be metamorphosized into a slut in underwear, since that seemed like the obvious place they were going with this after 15 seconds. I told myself that that would be the one redeeming feature to counter the fact that I was wasting three minutes of my time.

However, she barely does anything. By the end, I realized that in a Twisted Sister video, the difference between an uptight snobby lady and a rock video slut, is one shirt button and a hair clip, which is all that comes off the chick. In other words, even considering that this was supposed to be a self-parody of metal cliches, they even managed to fuck the cliche up.

Why do XFM (104.9 FM in London) promote this "ACT" so much. Although not a total metal radio station they provide the best of guitar based indie rock in the uk. Why do they promote a fucking glam/Queen/Elton John/Sparks type band. What a fucking liberty.

    p.s
Bet all there shows are a sellouts this year and they will be on the main stage at the festivals.
